On July 26, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) Northwest States Manager Zach Widner was a guest on “Xplor the Outdoors” with Jim and Patti Solomon, an outdoors radio show broadcasted in Missoula, Montana.
The Solomons also serve as the chief organizers of the Montana Outdoor Recreation Expo, an event that features exhibitors and presenters to highlight the vast economic contributions of Montana’s outdoor recreation industry.
Widner spoke about the history of CSF and what the organization focuses on at the state and federal level to protect and advance hunting, angling, recreational shooting, and trapping. Among the policy topics discussed were hunting and angling access, aquatic invasive species (AIS), and hunter and angler recruitment and retention efforts. Widner also highlighted CSF’s upcoming Western Policy Forum that will take place on August 14 in Tacoma, Washington.
The interview can be heard again between 8:00 am – 9:00 am Mountain Time on Saturday, July 29 on KGRZ 1450 Missoula (1450 /92.7 FM).
