Kansas

From the High Plains in the west to the Flint Hills in the east, Kansas has a little bit of everything for sportsmen and women. With over 250 public lakes and reservoirs, anglers of all kinds will find what they are looking for in the Sunflower State and those same lakes can be a waterfowlers dream. Iconic species of the state include the aforementioned ducks and geese, world-renowned white-tail deer, and beautiful pheasant and prairie chicken. The state is home to a rich history, from the bounty of the buffalo to frontier towns and historic landmarks. Additionally, Kansas hosts the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, the largest piece of tallgrass prairie on earth.
